Welcome to Greystones Community National School
Greystones Community National School is a brand new primary provision for the Greystones area that will open its doors for the first time in September 2015 taking in Junior Infants only but will expand year on year up to 6th Class. We will initially be based in temporary accommodation at Greystones Rugby Club but will eventually move to a brand new building.
Greystones CNS is under the patronage of Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board. It is a state operated multi-denominational, co-educational primary. It provides children of all beliefs and none with effective life skills and a rounded education. The school provides the full National Primary School Curriculum as specified by the Department of Education & Skills.
We are delighted to have been given the honour of opening Greystones’ newest primary provision and are very excited about the wonderful opportunity that exists to forge a new, inclusive school where all stakeholders are respected and valued.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
"My name is Rory Kinane, I am the newly appointed Principal of Greystones CNS and am thrilled to be leading the school as it opens its doors for the first time. I first qualified as a teacher in 2005 and have recently been a Head Teacher in a primary school in the UK. Originally from Tipperary, I have taught in both the Irish and the UK system at all age levels and have returned home to this exciting opportunity to create what will first and foremost be an inclusive school. Inclusion is something I am passionate about and will work incessantly to ensure that all children who attend Greystones CNS are able to achieve to the very best of their abilities – academically, physically, culturally, morally and spiritually. For me inclusion also means that all stakeholders of the school community are valued and respected. I am keenly aware of how important home and family is in children achieving at school and look to establish strong relationships with all parents/carers. It is with great pleasure that we begin to establish what I feel will be a wonderful environment for our children to begin their learning journeys."
