Having visited Templecarrig secondary school recently I am extremely happy with the temporary site that we will have in the initial weeks. The Principal of Templecarrig, Alan Cox, has been very generous and flexible in accommodating us and I am very thankful for his help to date. We will have our own large classroom, toilets and secure playground and all areas that we use will be partitioned off from the rest of the school. Also, our brand new furniture will be delivered in the coming days.
In terms of pick up/drop off I would ask that all parents/carers please park in the Lidl car park where there is ample parking and walk their children across. Our room is at the front of the new school as you walk in the main gate making it a very short walk. Our start time of 8.45am will not clash with either the secondary school, the Educate Together or the Gaelscoil which should hopefully help with avoiding peak congestion. A number of parents expressed a preference for a pre 9am start so once again I would like to thank Alan Cox for accommodating us. On Monday we will hold interviews for our second teacher and I will inform all parents of whom the successful candidate is on our website. Any parent who thinks that they may have difficulty in getting to the Templecarrig site please contact me. If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to get in touch at greystonescns@kwetb.ie Comments are closed.
