Hand hygiene has always been a vital issue and one whose importance was always emphasised to the children. However in the current times, it is even more important that children are aware of their hand hygiene and have a good knowledge and understanding of the hand washing process. This will of course be relayed to the children throughout each day but coming into Junior Infants with prior knowledge of the importance of this would be ideal too. Ensure that your child's school cardigan, jumper and coat are labelled with a marker that won't wash off.
